Politics: What Trump Has Really “Accomplished”

So many conservatives want to talk about Trump’s accomplishments, both real and perceived. He does not have as many good accomplishments as they would think. Most of what he has done isn’t really an accomplishment, but is something that is worth the quotation marks that I used in the title that donate sarcasm. Let’s delve into the real “accomplishments” of the Trump administration thus far.

The first “accomplishment” of his is lower our country’s standard among others. Nearly all of the other country’s leaders hate Trump and hate what has happened so far under his administration be it with what he has done, like withdrawing from the Paris Agreement, or the terrible things that he keeps saying over and over again. World leaders hate Trump and we didn’t have this issue with other bad presidents before Trump.

The second “accomplishment” of his is the growing fear mongering of Republicans. They will say outlandish things that are often not true or highly exaggerated while making it seem like the only issue will be is if Democrats become in control or immigrants take over or name problem here. Whether it is saying a thousand years of darkness will happen if a Democrat wins the race for senate in Mississippi or insisting that illegals are simply invading when they are not, they will go beyond ridiculous means to try to sway people to their side.

The third “accomplishment” of Trump is the growing hatred that is going on in this country. They would have you believe that all we do is hate Trump all day and night long with no reason behind such a thing as if this is unjustified in some way while they hate Obama and everything that he stands for, no matter how great he actually was.

The fourth “accomplishment” of Trump is the growing racism. I know that this ties into the last section quite easily to the point of almost being indistinguishable, but it is different in some ways and important to call out. While not everyone who supports Trump is racist and it is quite likely that a few racist people don’t actually support Trump, he thrives off of the racist vote

The fifth “accomplishment” of Trump is the growing partisanship of this country. This has been most evident since the Democrats took control of the House halfway through Trump’s term. They have passed tons of great legislation that the Republican’t senate refuses to act on since it was something that they did and not something that Mitch wants or thinks Trump wants. While the failure or partisanship has been overly exaggerated in some ways, it is still a problem that has only gotten worse since Trump took office.

While it may not seem like it yet, the sixth “accomplishment” of Trump is a worsening economy that is happening under his watch. I don’t want the economy to get worse and it looks like a lot of it might be related to a virus and not anything Trump has done, but the economy that was so great under Obama and lasted a good while into Trump administration might not be here long before the general election which might ruin the one good thing Trump might have otherwise have had going for him.

The seventh “accomplishment” of Trump is the worsening Iran relations. I don’t know how much of this he deserves blame for, but he deserves a whole lot of it. There is a $30,000,000 bounty on his head because of some of what he did. It might not have happened if he had just stuck with the Iran deal. Even if he had, there still would have been issues and we can only hope that nothing ever happens badly with Iran and we don’t wind up at war with them in the future.

The eighth “accomplishment” of Trump is the disappearing money that we have. He spent more on vacations in one year than Obama did in eight. He doesn’t like to spend his own money on hardly anything, not even his own campaign. Many emergency funds are going bankrupt and others don’t have the money they need anymore. One really should have thought twice before they put someone who went bankrupt multiple times in charge of this country.

The ninth “accomplishment” of Trump and the Republican’ts that I’m pretty sure they are more than proud of is the tainted judgeship that we now have as a result of them refusing to act on a lot of the judges that Obama appointed in his last year in office. I don’t know just how messed up the judicial system is or will be as a result of this. I don’t even think that this should be one that should ever be given to Trump, the quick judgeships appointed, since a lot of them are not people he should have had a chance to get.

The tenth “accomplishment” of Trump is ignoring the blue states in favor of red ones. He did this right after he won the election. He did a victory tour of all the states that voted for him and he ignored the ones that don’t. He still doesn’t care about the states that don’t lean his way since they wouldn’t support him and why should he? Well, a decent human should or would, but he is not that so that’s how we wind up here.

The eleventh “accomplishment” of Trump is doing everything he can to undo what Obama did. We have seen this ridiculousness with the Star Wars sequels. The newer one ignores or just straight up retcons the previous work as we try to stay hooked into this in some way. One should not just seek to undo everything, good or bad, especially good, that the previous administration did. I am convinced that Trump would reanimate the corpse of Bin Laden if he could. Obama did a lot of good and Trump wants to undo it all or take credit for some of it like the VA bill or blame Obama for stuff that Trump knows full well that he did.

I can’t think of anything else to say in this post so I will end it here. I hope to have a post that I have been wanting to do for a while now. Just let me know what songs you think describe Trump and I might include them in the next blog post if I can finally get it done and written. I hope that you enjoyed this blog’s 100th post.
