May First 2016’s Episode

You might have been confused by when I first started posting this blog out of order. While I’m not always able to watch in the right order, I had originally planned on posting this episodes this season in the right order until a Christmas episode of Madam Secretary threw me off in a way. While I know that Madam Secretary is a different show with a different blog, I still had it linked into this blog for the most part. Ultimately, when the show ends I’ll figure out how to post the episodes from the rest of this season in a somewhat logical order. I’ll also probably quicken the pace of when I do updates to once a week instead of once a month. We’ll see when and if that works.

In terms of the movies that I’ve been watching, I watched Gosford Park. Now it does come with two commentaries, but I decided not to listen to either one of them as I didn’t like the movie. I replaced it on the list. No other movie watching related to their old movies.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with the court case of Peter. He has the feeling that the judge on this case hates him. (I’m live blogging today as I’m not able to watch the ABC show that I normally would watch and the FOX shows aren’t on.) There are people at the firm who begin tearing apart some of the building for some odd reason. This show can be more confusing than others. I wonder why the Sunday primetime shows are the most confusing of the nights on TV in terms of content in the show.

Diane seems to be getting grilled in court. They are turning Diane’s firm into an all female firm by the looks of it. That seemed to come out of nowhere and now it’s so important. The construction at the firm is discovered to be a mistake. Diane tries to make the best of this situation by deciding to go to the floor above them. The trial seems to be like a kangaroo court. Louis tells Alicia that Peter is guilty.

Act two has David Lee being shown listening to pretentious music. Was he responsible for the damage to Diane’s firm? I keep calling it Diane’s firm as I honestly can’t remember the name to it anymore as it has changed so freaking much. Alicia is still trying to court Jason, but he doesn’t seem all that interested. It’s possible that Peter had yet another affair. Louis tells Alicia about this and she doesn’t even pretend to be upset over this.

Act three has Alicia telling them information that could help with Peter’s case. She mentions this possible affair to Peter, but he doesn’t want it brought up in court. Diane wants her husband’s help with the case. They bring up something interesting that could help with the case regarding ballistic evidence. Jason doesn’t want to help with Peter’s cases anymore. A witness feels that someone might have fudged the results of something in a way. This throws Diane through a loop and reveals that Cary might be against this side again.

Act four is when Cary testifies. Peter decides whether or not he should say anything on the stand. Jason is convinced that if Peter goes to prison that Alicia will stay married to him. Meanwhile, he feels that if Peter is acquitted then Alicia will divorce him. Diane is tearful with her husband for some odd reason. Alicia tries to brace her husband for cross-examination. It seems to get more personal than it probably should. It seems he does good in the practice round. But then there are problems because of that. Then we have him on stand and it appears that he does well with it.

Act five has more problems at Diane’s firm and they now have the firm on the twenty-seventh floor due to structural problems. Peter waits for the jury verdict and wonders what all should happen. He decides to take a plea deal and spend two years in jail. But the jury has a decision before he can make it official. Will this be a good result for him?

On the last Good Wife that will air next, it won’t be the end, will it? I guess that since it is the last episode, they are making the promo for it vaguer than usual. I remember when How I Met Your Mother didn’t have anything about the last episode revealed in promos for it. But will the finale of The Good Wife be, well, good? Will it be better than good? Will it be average? Will it be bad? Will I ever want to watch the series again? Will I like the show still after its potential bad finale? I still like How I Met Your Mother after its bad finale.

The future of my blog will be revealed soon. After the next episode, the Good Wife will end and all the remaining cast members and its creators will find other jobs. The creators already will be working with Braindead, a drama that will air this summer. After I publish the finale, I will do one more post as a send-off to the show. But it could be a transition post into what the blog will cover from that point forward. Will I end the blog or continue it? We will see. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

April Twenty-Fourth 2016’s Episode

There might be rumors that this show is about trying to help Hilary Clinton get elected president. I don’t take those thoughts seriously. There are many reasons why this isn’t the case. One could say it could be inspired by things like that at best, which is what the creators of this show admit themselves that it was inspired by, in the beginning at least, various sex scandals and other scandals of politicians that have their wives standing next to them in support of this and the fact that their wives still have some sort of story all by themselves that it worth telling.

Yikes. That sentence in the previous paragraph turned into the type of monstrosity the likes of which you’d see in the Scarlet Letter book, which I do not recommend that anyone read, even if your English teacher wants you to. Your English teacher is crazy. I know that. You should know that. Don’t even try to say otherwise as English teachers are always crazy regardless of who they are. It is either a talk show host application or one for an English teacher that has a simple two question survey. 1- Are you crazy? Answer: yes. 2- When can you start? I seemed to have lost the focus of what I was saying. The point is this: if this were about helping Hilary Clinton get elected, then why would it premiere in 2009 when it’s highly unlikely that she would run for office until this year (2016)?

There wasn’t much progress in terms of the movies that I’m watching. Of course, there was movie watching being done, but that didn’t mean that it would be part of their former movies. I have basically added The Best Years of Our Lives to the list and that’s all the changes that have been made thus far. Plus, I’m running out of time to update you about this.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with the conversation that Jason and Alicia were having last time. Alicia is concerned that she’s always being interrupted by something else and, of course, her daughter is knocking on the door wanting to talk. It turns out that funeral flowers were sent instead of the planned wedding flowers. But Mrs. Florick (I forget her first name, but I’m not talking about Alicia) actually likes them. Jason has a deed to land on Mars which he gives to Alicia. That seems weird to me. Eli doesn’t want Jason working on Peter’s case. Zach comes back with a surprise as it turns out that he is getting married. That's a lot in just the first act.

Act two has more discussion regarding Zach as it turns out that he wants to drop out of college to spend a year in France with his planned wife Hannah. His parents naturally object to a lot of his plans. He has always been more of a rowdy one. Alicia isn’t sure that she can actually take Jason seriously anymore due to the whole deed for land on Mars thing. Grace learns through Alicia’s mother about Alicia and Peter planning on getting divorced so Alicia talks to both Grace and Zach about this.

Act three doesn’t seem to have all that much to it. We see that Jason’s Mars thing was more of him saying that he would want Alicia to go away with him wherever they might want to go to. I’m not really sure what else to make about this act.

Act four has Hannah telling Alicia that she wanted Zach to be tell her about the engagement sooner. Eli learns that a woman had problems with evidence that lead potential conventions to not happen. Jason confronts the woman about this as it could help exonerate Peter, I think.

Act five makes me wonder how this was all a marriage in the end. All that really happened was a document being signed and that was it. I hope that marriages aren’t really started that way. It appears that different events are being set in motion. Peter and Alicia toast their divorce.

On the next Good Wife, it appears that things might be falling apart in some places. What will happen in the case against Peter? Can Alicia be the good wife one last time? Hasn’t she lost that term since around season 3 when she started her affair with Will? That is all for now as the series is winding down. Soon it will be over. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

April Seventeenth 2016’s Episode

Sometimes I make predictions based on what I think would or probably could happen in the future. Last time we were electing a president, I knew that Obama would win reelection the moment that Rick Santorum dropped out of the race. I know that Democrats will probably win this next election for president in 2016 as the Republican race is a joke. Do they honestly expect us to take any of the people left seriously? John Kasich would actually be a good president, but he won’t win the primary. This makes me hope that Bernie Sanders is the one that wins the Democratic primary as I’m not too fond of Hilary Clinton. But, she’d make a much better president than either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.

Anyways, while I’m on the topic of the upcoming election, I should tell you that I tend to watch both party’s conventions when they happen, even though there is one party that I tend to support over the others. Now every three years, the LCMS church which I’m from has a Youth Gathering. While I’m too old to go as a youth group member anymore, I can watch the live feeds of the gathering online. Now the gathering’s mass events will take place at the same time as one of these contentions. Clearly, I won’t be watching the convention. Since these party conventions take place every four year and the gatherings take place every three years, I won’t have to worry about this happening again until 2028.

In May, I look at all the great shows that ended in one season and decide which of them to add to my wish list. Originally the plan was to add one cancelled show from each of the five major networks to my wish list each year. This doesn’t always happen because sometimes a network doesn’t cancel much of anything while another network cancels a lot of great shows at once. With this show ending this season, it may have to be among the five that I add to my wish list. But will I only add five? We’ll see at the end of the season what else all ends and doesn’t and we’ll see which ones I feel would be worth adding to my wish list and which ones I don’t add. Some shows are dead to me after their terrible endings. I don’t know yet how this will end.

I had a dream that I had the first season of iZombie on DVD and it was unwatched and unopened as I was too busy for it. I also had dreams about having a blog about both Bordertown and Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life. I doubt that I would create blogs about either one of them. We’ll see though. I probably will add iZombie to my wish list when the show ends, although I don’t think at the moment that it will end soon. For a while it looked like it would get cancelled this season, but then the CW made a strange move and renewed all of their main season shows. That’s pretty strange, right? As much as their fans would probably like this, it also doesn’t make a lot of sense when you think about it.

This blog is linked with one about Madam Secretary. This link was kind of messed up when this show aired one more episode than that show did last season. Now it seems like since Madam Secretary aired a new episode last week without a corresponding episode of this show, the blogs could be linked up again. But that won’t be the case. I made lengths in trying to link the two blogs up again which resulted in things being posted a bit out of order. Since this show is ending, I will quicken the blog posts after the last episode airs until I’ve posted all the episodes and can then change the blog or end it. By the time you are reading this blog post, it is likely that I have already quickened the rate at which I publish this blog. The point is, this blog will still sort of be linked to the Madam Secretary blog for now, but ever since that extra episode of this show last season, the blogs have been off in a way.

After family visits happened, I’m able to watch more movies again. I watched Pleasantville with its other commentary and replace it on the list. I also watched Finding Nemo with commentary and replaced it on the list. I added Gosford Park to the list. I watched Ghost Town with commentary and replaced it with The Ghost Writer. There could be tons of problems in terms of what I can watch and what I’d replace it with, so hopefully things will all work out. I still have a bunch of movies to add this year, but I’m more slowly adding them then adding them all at once since there’s too many of them and I want to finish watching all of my aunt and uncle’s former movies, which have no easy way to be put on the list the way the other movies do. The last main thing to note in changes with movies is that I’m done watching the Bourne Series and have thus replaced it on the list.

Things are always changing with the way different networks work each season. I originally thought that the episode of this that aired after the Masters would be the last one affected by tape delay, but it turns out there wasn’t even a new episode of this after the Masters. Sidenote: How can anything golf related by a tournament? Am I that dumb? It doesn’t make sense that golf can be tournament related. If you know how golf tournaments can exist, then let me know. Anyways, there was only one March Madness tape delay this year so the last episode was the last one affected by tape delay. It should be smooth sailing until the series finale. Let’s just hope that the finale is good, or at least average.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with Jeff, from the NSA, trying to make his way back to the US for his mother’s funeral. He winds up detained at a Canadian airport and there is a question over whether or not he crossed a line which is why both US and Canadian people are wanting to talk to him. Alicia tells Jason about her plan to divorce Peter. Jeff calls Alicia to be his lawyer. Diane’s husband who apparently exists and himself points out the strange marriage situation such as why we don’t see him as often as we do wants more of a normal relationship with Diane. Jason knows about international law so he tells Alicia more about this while the NSA is listening to her.

Peter gets arrested for different charges. Maybe he can join Rod Blagojevich who somehow exists in the same world that the show is set in. (Speaking of Rod, don’t you fear for the state of Colorado once he gets out of prison? He will have established long term residency there since that’s the state which prison he is at right now. Sadly, while he can’t run for office in Illinois again, he can probably run in any other state and he can run for federal office. He’s probably researching their state’s election laws right now. While I wouldn’t be too concerned normally about him getting elected there, Colorado is dumb enough to legalize weed, so I wouldn’t put it past them.)

Act two has a Canadian justice of the peace taking the case over what should be done regarding Jeff. The people try to make their claim to “your worship.” I love how they are making fun of Americans and they also subtley made fun of Canadians if you know when I’m talking aboot. Evidence that could be trumped up is brought against Jeff which gives America the right to extradite him. Someone wants to hire a PI to look into the charges against Peter and Jason is considered for that role.

Act three is when the case gets more and more interesting. Diane blows off a potential client with an insult that they can’t air on network television. But back to the case: Alicia learns more about the fact that the NSA has been spying on her. I still love the way that they are insulting Americans. Jeff had leaked information and it turns out that Alicia now knows that what she did with that one panel from earlier that I was probably confused about had used a leak of hers. Jeff might be guilty, but Alicia is still defending him. This leads to a disagreement with Lucca who thinks that Jeff committed treason.

Act four has more of the case where, as usual, things go badly for the client as the judge like person decides to grant the extradition. But Alicia decides to seek asylum for her client so they may actually come off ahead. I’m not sure what else to make of the segment.

Act five has the end of the case. Jeff is granted asylum. This is after Lucca and Alicia call each other intentionally making sure that people would be listening to their calls. Alicia tells Jason that she wants him and that’s why she is suddenly deciding to divorce Peter now. Sidenote: Is Toronto really that close to Chicago? Wouldn’t you have to go through Wisconsin and Michigan just to get to Canada? I’m not sure if they have the geography right. Of course, if she just flies there, then this comment of mine is just stupid then. They just didn’t say what she’d be doing to get there.

On the next Good Wife, there is a wedding, but mostly just more chaos happening. How will they end the show? Will we see any of the former cast members return? What is in store for these characters before their last hurrah? I’m interested in seeing how it ends. I’m also interested in seeing how they write off Tony DiNozzo on NCIS. I’m hoping that they don’t kill him off, although they might. We’ll see what happens. I just hope that it fits with his character so far this season. Him running off for Ziva isn’t ideal anymore as he should long be over her. But that’s a different show. I’ll be back with more of the Good Wife whenever it is next on. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

March Twenty-Seventh 2016’s Episode

Remember when I started alternating between different episodes of what I was posting? Well, I have finished posting all of last year's episodes so you will just see the rest of the episodes in regular order next. This will continue until the series finale episode is posted and I'll let you know then what to expect next from this blog. Stay tuned for a (hopefully) interesting change.

There tends to be shows on whenever there are important things going on Sunday. I already hate the fact that this show’s last episode will air on Mother’s Day. Then there’s the fact that Palm Sunday and Easter tend to have new episodes on them all the time. I really hate that most networks are airing their season finales of shows on Mother’s Day. It sadly makes me hope that nothing important is going on in my life to prevent me from watching all my normal shows that day. There are a lot of Sunday shows that I watch from various networks. What I don’t watch live, I record to watch later.

You know that I watch this show on Sundays. You also know that I watch Madam Secretary. Sometimes I watch 60 Minutes, but not all the time. I have watched Bob’s Burgers and Bordertown at times. I tend to not watch more than one show from 6-7 so I don’t record what I don’t watch. I watch Elementary now that it is on Sundays. I watch the FOX shows The Simpsons, Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life, Family Guy, and the Last Man on Earth. On ABC, I watch Once Upon a Time, The Family, and Quantico. Sometimes I will watch the NBC show Hollywood Game Night which is now on Sundays. I’m currently not into any other NBC shows on Sundays.

In regards to the movie watching that I’m doing, there’s not much to report as there wasn’t much time for me to watch any of the movies on my list. Basically the only change to tell you about is that Rat Race is now on the list. Also, there were no March Madness games on CBS on Sunday so shows aired normally. This means that only the Masters could possibly delay this show one last time.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with Alicia and Jason in bed. He talks about supposedly being Christian while screwing a woman who’s married to someone else. Let’s just say that I don’t buy that regardless of anyone who would claim such a thing while doing such a thing. Regardless of that, Peter finds out that Jason is doing this leading to a relatively mild confrontation considering the circumstances. Also, a humongous vocabulary is counterintuitive to the comprehension of conversation. Anyways, Jason might leave Alicia’s life now. But I should see the rest of the episode first.

Meanwhile, Alicia and Diane have a case with a drone to work out. They are arguing against a former lawyer that they worked with who is just now returning to work after having a baby some time ago. Their original case is decided against by the judge, but there is another part to the case when their client shoots down the drone that is spying on him. There are still rumors about Diane’s firm going all female and it seems so random to me that I wonder why it is here in the series. It’s not as bad a decision as the run for state’s attorney was, but it doesn’t seem to belong in the show. The last thing to note is that Eli’s daughter is approached by a man at work.

Act two has Eli thinking that someone bugged the governor’s office. He confronts a man about it and learns that it was actually his daughter’s phone that was bugged. The right of shooting down a drone is discussed and their client loses again as the drone was retreating. But he uses a different sort of gun to shoot down a different drone next. It appears that for one reason or another, Jason doesn’t want to stick with Alicia which upsets her. She then goes to Peter asking for a divorce. Wow. After all the affairs that both of them had, I would have thought that this marriage would work out.

Act three has David Lee possibly hazing Lucca. Now it has taken my however long about blogging this show to realize who David Lee is. I get a bit confused as to who he is because he doesn’t seem as important as he should be. Cary doesn’t want the firm to be all female. Back to the divorce thing, Peter is concerned about being indicted although Alicia seems to be brushing it off like it’s no big deal. I remember hearing that Patrick Quinn, the former governor of Illinois, was under investigation for something I didn’t fully understand. He was never arrested for anything and I’m not sure if he ever will be charged. You’d think we’d have heard something by now if something was going to happen, but maybe they don’t have the evidence they need yet. I mean, it took them over two years to catch Rod Blagojevich with something. I seem to have lost my train of thought. Oh, well. On to the next act!

Act four has more of the case and it appears that complicated law is brought up again causing more problems for their client. I’m not sure I care if he wins or not just as long as complicated law doesn’t cause unfair things in real life. People discuss the whole female firm thing and it seems like they are trying harder to make Diane matter again and still coming up short, just not as short as usual. It appears that Jason and Alicia do reconnect for now at least.

Act five has the client failing in the case for a third time this episode. The lawyer isn’t doing well martially. Eli confesses to obstruction of justice in order to make sure his daughter isn’t gone after anymore. Cary wants to quit the firm and tells Alicia this. As for the divorce thing, Peter wants Alicia to stand by him one last time before they get divorced. But we don’t yet know her thoughts on this. There are no scenes from next time so I’ll be back whenever with the next new episode. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
