Politics: Top Ten Songs to Describe Donald Trump

I’ve been wanting to do this post for quite some time and now figure that I finally have time to find all of these songs on YouTube and put them in this blog. All of these songs work in my mind to describe Trump, each one better than the last one. I hope that you enjoy these so unless you are a Trump fan, listen to these songs sometime.

Honorable mentions: I almost had You’re So Vain on this list as number 10, but felt that there should be a different number 10 on the list so I put that on here instead. I thought about including the song that The Great Mighty Poo sings when he fights you in Conker’s Bad Fur Day, but I felt that would work better for a different post instead if that happens. I also thought about putting Savages from Pocahontas, but felt it wouldn’t work well since it implies more of a both ways guilt when Trump’s problems are largely his own and not any other sides.

#10 It’s the End of the World as we Know it- It is hard to think of a more fitting song that is going on right now or throughout a lot of the Trump administration. Can we actually weather what is going on with the pure chaos that Trump is causing in various ways? He was brought in to destroy what we knew about democracy but I’d rather there still be one when this is all said and done with in the end.

#9 Ways to be Wicked- This is pretty much all I can think of regarding the Republican Party nationally nowadays. They do terrible things in groups and always stick together through all of what they do, even though they are being, well, wicked. The sickening way in which they stuck together through Trump’s impeachment (outside of Mitt Romney, the only person who thought Trump did something wrong and actually voted that way as a result) just shows that they got all the ways to be w-i-c-k-e-d.

#8 Are you in or Out?- Again, this goes straight back to the Trump impeachment as I can just imagine anyone that might have had second thoughts about staying loyal to Trump were shown this and warned about the possible consequences of leaving the administration behind. There will be a day when this administration is over, but why wait to sell your soul to advance in life?

#7 Beat It- Now for a song that doesn’t describe Trump. This song describes what others feel about him. Contrary to what you might hear from others, he has never been popular unless you are just counting among Republicans. We want to get rid of him at some point and we know that he will leave office at some point. The sooner he leaves office, the better.

#6 You’re a Douche- While a lot of the context of the song doesn’t work with Trump, the main point of it does: Trump is a douche and I think that a lot of people, even those that like him, can agree from sea to shining sea that he is a d-o-u-c-h-e douche. To try to say that Trump is a nice person is just to be ignorant of facts. You can be that way, but you won’t gain many fans that way as people like facts if they are good people.

#5 You’re Only Second Rate- Trump is constantly looking down on others and is mad with power similar to how Jafar was in this movie. Despite his short time in politics, he does as much as he can to ruin things for others and destroy this world. Why do people let him do this? There is no reason or excuse that they should let him get away with what he’s gotten away with. No one should be lenient on him for one issue like this or any other, especially not all of them.

#4 Be Prepared- There are a lot of villain songs that work well with Trump and this one is just like them. Like Scar, Trump actually got the power that he wanted and had dark dominion over all the light touches. We can only hope that he has a great downfall in the future, but will not know for sure what disaster might befall him. It just won’t be his supporters turning on him like they did with Scar.

#3 Highway to Hell- It is hard to think of just how horrible Trump has made this country. They think that he’s been doing good, but our country’s politics are way worse as those who want to stand up to this man are vilified for it by the other party. We can only hope that Republican’ts get their just deserts over their support of this monster, but that remains to be seen.

#2 Haman’s Song- This was originally lower on the list until I realized just how much more it fit it with the type of person Trump is over other choices. This song is about fear mongering and outright discrimination against a group of people. This fits Trump’s views so perfectly that I have to say that if Haman got updates in hell of the current world from Satan, he would be quite impressed that Trump has done a lot that he couldn’t do.

#1 Gaston- All I can think of now when I think of this song is how much it resembles a Trump rally. He talks about how great he thinks that he is and so many people join in with this process. I might even do a parody of this song to describe Trump at some point. We can only hope that no one fails like Trump to get reelected like Trump because no one is quite an asshole like Trump. His perceived greatness was one of his greatest flaws.

That’s it for this blog post. Were there any notable songs that I didn’t include that I probably should have? Was the order good or should I have had some choices higher and some choices lower? What about the honorable mentions? Should any of them be on the list in place of what did make the list? If you care, let me know what you think.
