Politics: Republican Sabotage or How They Win

A horrifying thing has already started in this country that is already publically out in the open. While I do have a future post planned on the horror of Republican honesty (unless I have done this already in a different blog), this is more focusing on the sabotage that Republicans do. It is the best way that they win elections. Around 33 states are focusing efforts (all of them lead by Republicans) to limit the power of voting since they are worried that people voting means that people like Trump and other Republicans lose. Seriously. After Trump’s loss, they are seeking to prevent people from legally voting.

There are other examples of how sabotage helps Republicans win. Voter suppression is the main way that Republicans sabotage their way to a win. Look at what Brian Kemp did. He took control of the election that he was running in and purged more than enough voters that could have swayed the election to the other candidate. He sabotaged his way to a win.

Other examples of how they sabotage would be seen through their unfair influence over the courts. They should be doing their jobs to confirm judges regardless of if a Democrat wants to do it. Instead, they only seek to confirm Republican judges while justifying their unfair ways with not confirming Democratic judges in a horrible double standard that I’m sure they’ll think of in a new light in the event that a Democratic senate seeks to bork every Republican judge that one of their own presidents would seek to appoint.

The Post Office crisis that is still ongoing despite the start of the Biden administration is yet another way that Republicans seek to do whatever they want to in order to make their way work out. It doesn’t matter if it is unfair to everyone else. They still do it anyways. Now tons of mail is delayed even now still beyond just what would have normally happened due to the pandemic. This hurt potential mail in voting and could have lead to the results in the only successful lawsuit Trump did relating to the election that disenfranchised many voters by throwing out their votes simply by changing the rules after the election had already happened. This is yet another way that we see courts ignore the law and let Republicans do what they want to.

While I could go on, I think that I’ve made enough points for this post. Republicans win by doing a lot of terrible things that can only be described accurately as sabotage. That is how they win and this has to stop if we want fair elections and a good country going forward.
