There
is a list of six things that I am watching on DVD or tape right now. The tape
option is mostly just shows that I have recorded this season on tape. Hopefully
at some point, The Good Fight will be on DVD and I can watch that at some
point. But I am watching the first season of Gilmore Girls now still from when
I added it to review it for this blog. I will tell you what I replace that
option with. It will be a bonus for people who read this blog. I’d also like to
apologize for putting the wrong date in the last update. It was clearly not
February. Hopefully, there won’t be any mistakes like that in the future.
Spin-off
information- My review of the spin-off will follow later in this post. It will
probably stay for as long as the show is still on. If the show leaves the air,
then I’ll probably cut it. I do plan on creating a new blog for it in the
future. I guess that I will just have to keep you updated on when it might be
released in the future.
Julianna Margulies: It appears
that the main actress has a movie project in the works. It is called Three
Christs. I’m not sure how it sounds just yet, but I’m not sure that it’s
something that I would like. She’s also in another new movie called Untouchable.
Three Christs: This is a movie
in preproduction that will be released sometime in 2018. Apparently, a
doctor, has to deal with three patients who all think that they are Christ due
to a mental problem that they all have. Will it mock religion or be more
serious? I found out that this is based off of a real life case of people with
schizophrenia.
Untouchable: The plot that
imdb has for this sounds very strange. Apparently a former criminal and a
wealthy person in a wheelchair have some sort of comedic relationship. It
doesn’t have a trailer yet, but it does have a release year of 2018. I
guess we’ll see what, if anything, comes from it.
Josh Charles: He has at least
two projects in the works, according to imdb. It looks like he will appear in Amateur,
a sports movie. Another project mentioned is called Norman. Hopefully
all of these get made and released.
Amateur: This does not have a
trailer or release date yet. This one is still listed as filming, so hopefully
it can be released and finished sometime. This is a basketball drama and it
appears to be a coming of age drama as well. Can a young player fit in with a new
team? It has a year of release: 2017. It doesn’t have a particular date
just yet.
Norman: It should be out
now, but not in a local region for me. It has a rating on imdb as it may
have played at some film festival before an official release to the public. The
plot is about The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer, as the
subtitle that the movie used to have clearly mentioned. It has a trailer, which
I’m talk about next.
Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXFCrl37HzU
Thoughts on trailer: I
honestly can’t tell based off of that if this will be interesting or just plain
weird. I guess that I’ll still see it, but it can be hard to make a good
impression on a movie based off of a dumb trailer. Plus, it didn’t reveal much
of the film. How does he fall in the film? How does he rise? How is he a fixer?
There is more that the trailer could reveal that it hasn’t.
Now
is the point where I would review the film, but I can’t as I’m not yet able to
see it. I wasn’t able to find it in local theaters when I researched
information for it online. Indeed, when I tried to find a theater showing
Norman, google instead told me about the movie theater in Norman, Oklahoma. I
didn’t even know that place existed. I guess that I’ll just have to wait until
it comes out on DVD before I can watch it.
Graham Phillips: I honestly
wasn’t sure if he’d still be in acting after The Good Wife. It appears that he
isn’t doing much, if anything, in the acting world still. He is in a movie
called XOXO and is available to watch on Netflix right now. I just don’t
know if I can give a review of this just yet. I hope that I can eventually. I’m
going to keep including it in the update until I can review it or he does
something new. I hope that happens soon. Is he done with acting?
XOXO: This movie is about six people sharing some strange
romantic night of some sort. It looks like a romantic drama of some sort. It
should be out now as of this update. I’m not sure if I’m going to be able
to see it since it appears to be a Netflix exclusive. I don’t know if it will
ever be available on DVD for me to watch without Netflix. I’ll check back later
for more updates. I also hope to find a guest reviewer for this movie or hope
that it would be available to rent sometime at my video store. I’m not getting
Netflix just to watch this. There is a trailer for the movie now.
Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUN5uSu_VQM
Thoughts on trailer: It looks like an interesting trailer.
I’d have to say that it was a vague trailer of some sort. I can’t tell yet if
it is one of those famous controversial trailers that make a movie look better
than it is. I’m not entirely sure if I have seen one of those. Anyways, it
looks like the movie is a fairly normal movie of some sort although it might
have some weird parts to it. The trailer does make me interested in seeing the
movie. I hope that it’s not a misleading trailer.
Now is the point where I
should post a review of the movie, but I can’t as I am not able to watch this.
If anyone reading this is able to see the movie and wants to do a review of it,
then let me know. In fact, if you want to do that, then just comment on this
post. In the meantime, I’ll see if it ever gets released to DVD so I can
actually watch it out of Netflix.
Archie Panjabi: This actress
did a lot after leaving the show. Right now, she is in the show Blindspot.
I finally found something else new with her. She’s doing something else called Controversy.
It’s a pilot for a TV show so we will see if it ends up being picked up for a
series in the future. We may have to wait until the June update to know for
sure.
Blindspot: This shows airs at 8/7
Central on Wednesdays on NBC. Archie plays a character who seems to suddenly
be helping with the team. A review will follow. Her character is the leader of
the team at the moment, although I’m not sure I fully understand how that
happened.
Review: Blindspot: Status- Currently on NBC at 8/7 Central on Wednesdays.
Why I’ve seen it- I was interested in the idea of it. Description- For
mysterious reasons, a woman has amnesia and tattoos all over her body and there
are crimes solved based off of this. Notable People- Archie Panjabi, who was on
The Good Wife, is a character on the show. Pros- The show is intriguing and
interesting. Cons- The show may seem a bit scatterbrained and it seems like
they are trying to do a female version of Jason Bourne. The show can seem
similar to other types of dramas in a way. It can also be more violent than it
needs to be. Note to Parents- I’d say that this is something that teenagers can
watch, but not any younger than that. I think that all the episodes I’ve seen
thus far were TV14. Recommendation- I’d say that this is worth watching.
Prediction- I’m not sure that I have a high hope for the show at the moment. I
could be proven wrong, but nothing NBC airs at this timeslot seems to last.
Reception: positive. Grade: B+.
Controversy: The plot of this
sounds very interesting so hopefully it will be picked up for a series. Since
it is a pilot, it doesn’t really have a pending release date. The plot is about
a person who accuses football players of rape. It will air on FOX if it airs at
all.
Christine Baranski: After
rejecting various pilots and other projects in the hopes of getting a spin-off
from the Good Wife, she got what was wanted and will be on a Good Wife
spin-off. It will only be available on CBS All Access (and hopefully DVDs in
the future). The spin-off is called The Good Fight. I don’t know if
there is anything else she is doing, although she apparently does stage shows.
The Good Fight: It will be put on www.cbs.com and be available to watch on CBS all
access to those that want it. It is available now. Expect to see the
same review over and over again for whichever people work on this from The Good
Wife.
Review: Status- It is
available online only at CBS all access. I’ll let you know if it is released on
DVD. Why I’ve seen it- If there is something in this blog that I can review, I
will. Description- Diane continues her adventures starting from scratch after
losing her retirement money and starting at a new firm. Pros- The show is about
the same level of quality that you would expect from The Good Wife. Cons-
Apparently, there is going to be a lot of nudity in it. Like the original, this
show is a bit too confusing. Note to Parents- Your kids would have to pay to
watch this online so if they are seeing it, then you hopefully were the ones who
let that happen, although I’d lean towards not letting really young people
watch this. Recommendation- Since this is only available online for money, I
would actually steer clear of this unless you really like the show. I like it,
but not enough to shell out too much money for it. Prediction- This could last
a while if people keep using the subscription service to watch it. It already
has a second season renewal. Reception: critically acclaimed. Grade: B.
Matt Czuchry: All of this time
that you’ve seen me doing updates for him in this blog, you only saw me
mentioning the reboot of Gilmore Girls. Well, I can finally take that off the
update list and report on something new he is finally doing. It is a pilot for
a TV show called The Resident. We’ll see in May or later if it gets
picked up.
The Resident: This is a
potential pilot on the FOX network that could air at some point in time. I’m
not sure if there’s a better way of putting it than calling it a medical drama,
which is what it would be. The main thing that would make it different is it
focusing more on medicine than other shows have.
Makenzie Vega: She has been
working since The Good Wife ended. There’s a TV movie that she did in
postproduction called Tomboy. As for any other new projects, I don’t see
them just yet. There’s nothing new to report.
Tomboy: This made for TV movie
is listed as in postproduction and has neither a release date nor trailer for
it just yet. It is something that will be out in 2017 according to imdb.
It doesn’t mention so much as a plot to it, so I guess I’ll have to figure that
out for future updates. One can guess that a tomboy is central to the plot.
Alan Cumming: Here’s an actor
who’s known for starring in Broadway plays and productions. Perhaps you have
seen him on the Tony Awards that you always watch because you can’t afford to
see Broadway any other way. It looks like he has a lot of future projects in
the works. The first one is called The Surrealist. Another movie that
he’s doing in the future is Battle of the Sexes. I see him in After
Louie. A new one that I’ve noticed is called Show Dogs. That’s a lot
of projects to look out for in the future. He also might be doing something
called Instinct.
The Surrealist: This appears
to be a scripted movie regarding an artist named Salvador Dali. This appears to
be based off of a true story. It looks like he has issues with his wife over
his obsession with the Mona Lisa. There is no release date or trailer for
the movie, and it appears that it doesn’t so much as have a single year of
release on it just yet. Upon doing more research, it might be in development
hell since a source I found with information says that it was planned since at
least the fifth upcoming season of The Good Wife. So hopefully something will
eventually come of this potential project. I’m not even sure if it belongs in
these updates.
Battle of the Sexes: This is
listed as being in postproduction right now. This is also based off of a true
story regarding a tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobbie Riggs. It
has no trailer or release date as of yet, but it should be coming out on September
22, 2017.
After
Louie: This movie is listed as completed. It is a drama of some sort. It appears
to relate to being gay and how it has changed as of today. According to new
information, it has already been released in the UK. I’m not sure if it
will be out in the US at all.
Show Dogs: This project is
listed as filming at the moment. The plot relates to a police dog going
undercover in a dog show competition to prevent some sort of disaster from
happening. It might be live action, although I can’t tell for sure at the
moment. It is more than likely an animated movie. It is planned for release on November
10, 2017.
Instinct: According to the
following source, this is a pilot that Alan is working on. Now just because it
is a pilot doesn’t mean that it is certain to be a series just yet. There’s not
much information about it just yet. Hopefully I can find out something at some
time. The release date is 2017.
Zach Grenier: It appears that
he is acting in a show called The Tap that would air on USA. If he’s
doing anything else, I don’t see it at the moment. Maybe we’ll see more from
him in the future over time. Maybe not.
The Tap: Not much is revealed
about this just yet. It appears that it will air sometime in 2017. It
will be on the USA network. The plot of it revolves around three individuals
trying to find their new identities in Yale around 1969. Last I checked, it was
just a pilot and not certain to go ahead as a series.
Matthew Goode: He has been
doing a lot of projects since leaving The Good Wife. I might as well get to
mentioning all of them. Projects he’s doing are The Hatton Garden Job
and Magik. Another new project he’s in is called Four Kids and it.
And he has yet another new project in the works called Birthmarked. He’s
done so much and keeps doing more. Another thing he is appearing in is called Guernsey,
which we’ll find out more about later. I’m not sure if he is still in Four Kids
and it or Magik. I also don’t know if either of those last two projects are
still moving forward.
The Hatton Garden Job: It has
no trailer for it released just yet. More research into it reveals the plot: it
is based off of a true story of a heist in London that happened in 2015. There
are two other potential projects about the same heist. If this is made first,
you’ll have to wonder if the others will see the light of day. Alternatively,
if any of the others get made first, would this be made? It is out now in
the UK. I have no idea when or if it will be released in the US. It will
hopefully happen at some point. I can’t remember if I saw any promos for this
or something similar recently.
Now is the point where I would
review the movie, but I can’t as I’m not able to see this. I don’t know when or
if I’ll be able to see it. I could keep it around until a potential US release,
but I might cut it soon if I can’t find information about it in the future.
Magik: This is an animated
movie in the fantasy genre. It looks like it will be a Canadian film. There is
no trailer for it yet. This is in postproduction according to imdb. The plot
relates to a father visiting an alternate world to find his missing kids. While
the US release date remains unknown, the UK release date is sometime in 2018.
Imbd no longer mentions this as a project that Matthew is in. While it looks
like the movie is still moving forward, I can’t tell if he is still in this.
Four Kids and it: This looks
like another in a line of kids finding some magical creature film. I liked
these as a kid, although I’m not sure that I’ll still have the same fondness as
an adult. Hopefully I can. There is no trailer of specific release date for it
yet, although 2017 is the year it is set to come out at. I do hope that
they can come up with a better name for it than what they have now. While
Wikipedia still lists this as a potential project for Matthew, imbd no longer
does. I’ll keep it in these updates for now until I can see for sure what’s
happening and if he’s in it.
Birthmarked: Here’s another
Canadian film where I’m not sure if it is coming out sometime in America. It
probably will, but we’ll see for sure later. It is mentioned as coming out
sometime in 2017. The plot is mentioned as scientists trying to raise
kids contrary to how their genes are set up.
Guernsey: This currently has a
release year of 2018. The plot relates to a writer writing about the
experiences of the residents of Guernsey Island after World War II. Sounds
pretty interesting, but haven’t we had enough World War II movies by now?
Cush Jumbo: In addition to
doing The Good Fight, there’s at least one other project that she is
doing, a short called Toads & Bluebottles. I also see her in the
possibly new film City of Tiny Lights. I would guess that since she’s
doing a TV show, she’d be doing less projects.
Cons-

but not enough to shell out too much money for it. Prediction- This could last
a while if people keep using the subscription service to watch it. It already
has a second season renewal. Reception: critically acclaimed. Grade: B.
Toads & Bluebottles: This
is going to be a ten minute short to be released sometime in 2017.
There’s no trailer or release date for this just yet. I’m not sure how to see
most shorts. I think that most of them are hard to come by. It is listed as in
preproduction. I was able to find the plot: it’s an animated story about
imaginary people doing a life journey in just ten minutes. Will it be good? I
have no idea. I’d have to see it, or at least a trailer for it, to know for
sure.
City of Tiny Lights: This is a
drama that’s out now in the UK, although I’m not sure when it will be
out in the US. There is a trailer released for it, so that’s pretty cool. The
plot relates to a person investigating a case that may have more to it than is
first thought. Hmm. That sounds a bit cliché.
Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I2z4YPuMZ0
Thoughts on trailer: This
looks pretty interesting, although I’ve seen enough trailers like this for
movies I never ended up seeing. I guess this something that might be good,
although it seems a bit vague in terms of what it reveals about the movie.
Now is the point where I would
review the movie, but I can’t as I’m not able to see this. I don’t know when or
if I’ll be able to see it. I could keep it around until a potential US release,
but I might cut it soon if I can’t find information about it in the future.
Jeffrey
Dean Morgan: It appears that he joined the cast of The Walking Dead.
Thankfully, while I will not be able to watch it myself, I do know someone
(multiple people, actually) who can review the show for me. I just hope that
someone does something. You can post one yourself in the comments. It appears
that he is also in a new project called Militia. A new thing that he’s
doing is Rampage. I wonder what that would be like.
The Walking Dead: This is a
popular gory cable zombie drama about humans trying to save themselves from
what is known as The Walking Dead. I honestly haven’t seen it, so I don’t know
if it is as good as everyone makes it seem. But I’ll leave that to guest
reviewers of mine to decide for you. Hopefully I get them some point soon so
they can help me. If not, I’ll just mention the show until I do get a guest review
here at some point. This show will
return sometime in October.
Militia: It doesn’t have a
release date just yet. The plot relates to a shooting at a police funeral
being investigated by a militia man. Hopefully a trailer or release date shows
up with it in the future. Until then, we wait.
Rampage:
This is a movie based off of a video game. It is about apes and monsters
destroying a city. It has no trailer yet, but it does have a release date of April
20th, 2018. This might be good as I actually like some of these
movies.
Robert King: Here is where we
switch to writing credits. He and his wife are helping with The Good Fight.
I’m not sure what else they might be doing besides that. If there’s anything, I
can’t find it. There is nothing else new to report.
The Good Fight: It will be put on www.cbs.com and be available to watch on CBS all
access to those that want it. It is available now. Expect to see the
same review over and over again for whichever people work on this from The Good

but not enough to shell out too much money for it. Prediction- This could last
a while if people keep using the subscription service to watch it. It already
has a second season renewal. Reception: critically acclaimed. Grade: B.
Michelle King: Since she is
married to the previous person, it would appear that she would probably have
the same projects in the works as her husband. This section may be redundant
since any similar projects that these people have would be the same thing and
thus have the same information. She is working on The Good Fight.
The Good Fight: It will be put on www.cbs.com and be available to watch on CBS all
access to those that want it. It is available now. Expect to see the
same review over and over again for whichever people work on this from The Good
